Grove Art Online Oxford is a great resource! You likely will find the information you need in the subject guides, collections guides, and timelines of world art under the Tools & Resources option. You also have the option to enter a search term or to browse by biographies, subject entries and images. 

For books, connect to the Oakton Library Catalog, perform a subject search for art history and then narrow your search by topic, era or country.
