Q. There is a copy of my course textbook on reserve at the library. Can I check it out and take it home?

Students may go to the Oakton Library Circulation Desk at both campus libraries to check out a textbook from Course Reserves for 2 hours of In-Library use. The textbooks in the course reserve collection do not circulate out of the library (you cannot take them home).  Please note that the collection is limited in scope and size; your course textbook may not be on reserve.

To help the library staff retrieve the correct item, make sure that you know the title of the textbook for the course as well as the course number.  The library does not arrange the textbooks by the instructors' names.
