Although we love showing students the many wonderful resources available in the Oakton Library, we understand that sometimes a streamlined approach is what you need.

Try this:

Opposing Viewpoints in Context (Oakton username and password required)

This database of contemporary social issues contains reference book titles, pro and con viewpoint articles, and a variety of periodicals, podcasts, reviewed Web links, images, statistical tables, charts, and graphs.  Once connected, be sure to look for and select the "browse issues" option.

Is this your only option?  Not at all!  But it's a great way determine how feasible a particular topic may be.
