Grove Art Online Oxford is a great resource.  You likely will find the information you need in the Grove Arts Thematic Guides under Tools & Resources.  Grove Art Online Oxford, which includes Grove Art Online, Oxford Companion to Western Art, Encyclopedia of Aesthetics and Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art Terms, gives you the option to enter a search term or to browse by biographies, subject entries and images. You can find this online database on the Library's list of A - Z Databases: Facts and Encyclopedias.  Oakton username and password are required for off campus access.

For books, connect to Oakton's library catalog, perform a subject search for art history and then narrow your search by topic, era or country.
